Heavy rain and strong winds uprooted a pine tree, crushing many parked cars in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong Province), causing damage to the vehicles.

On the morning of July 21, at Xuan Huong Park (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat), prolonged heavy rain combined with strong winds caused a three-leaf pine tree over 10m tall, with a base diameter of about 70cm, to suddenly uproot and fall on vehicles parked below.

At the time of the incident, there were about 10 tourist cars parked in the park area adjacent to Tran Quoc Toan and Ho Tung Mau streets. Among them, a 5-seater car was crushed by a tree and severely damaged.

Nearby, another pine branch about 40cm in diameter broke and fell from a great height onto a 7-seater car, causing the roof of the car to be deformed.

Some people at the scene said that at the same time, a house near the park also had its roof blown off by strong winds, and part of the roof fell onto the park area, fortunately not affecting passersby.

At the same time, in some areas of Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat, Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat, wind and rain also caused many other trees to fall, blocking the road or damaging some people's property.

Specialized units were mobilized to clean up the scene.

Authorities quickly arrived, coordinated cleaning up the scene, diverted traffic and recorded the damage.
