Saigon University has just announced its expected enrollment information for 2025 with a series of changes compared to last year. This year, Saigon University plans to enroll 5,220 students, a slight decrease compared to last year.

Regarding admission methods , the school enrolls students according to 4 methods: direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , admission using the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment exam for majors not in the teacher training group, admission using the results of the 2025 computer-based university entrance exam (V-SAT) for majors not in the teacher training group, and admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Regarding enrollment quotas, many pedagogical majors have had their enrollment quotas cut by up to 3/4 compared to last year. Many majors only have 10 enrollment quotas. Specifically as follows:

Regarding the admission combination , this year the school has made significant changes compared to last year. Most of the majors require 2 compulsory subjects, the remaining subjects are chosen by the candidate. Some majors require 1 compulsory subject, the remaining 2 subjects are chosen by the candidate.

With the admission method using high school graduation exam results, the remaining subject is one of the high school graduation exam subjects: math, literature, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, economic and legal education, information technology, industrial technology, agricultural technology and ensuring that the subjects in the admission subject group do not overlap.

With the admission method using the V-SAT exam results, the remaining subject is one of the following subjects: math, literature, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, and ensuring that the subjects in the admission subject group do not overlap.

Another new point in the admission of Saigon University is the calculation of the coefficient of compulsory subjects. Compulsory subjects in many majors are multiplied by a coefficient of 5, the remaining subjects are multiplied by a coefficient of 3. Elective subjects are multiplied by a coefficient of 1. After multiplying the coefficient, the candidate's test scores will be converted to a 30-point scale for admission consideration.
