Special emotions

The state-level rehearsal for the celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) on the morning of August 30 was a great success, leaving the people with extremely special emotions.

Many people, especially veterans, could not hold back their tears of joy when reliving the heroic memories of the nation. Two veteran brothers Nguyen Duy Thong and Nguyen Duy Thanh (from Hoai Duc commune - Hanoi) were very excited to be assigned priority seats to watch the parade. "We have experienced fierce battles, witnessing the image of peace today feels extremely precious and remembers our fallen comrades, not being able to see the peaceful and beautiful moments of the Fatherland", the two veterans shared.

Veteran of the Quang Tri Citadel battlefield Tran Dai Giap (Thanh Xuan ward) emotionally said: "How happy it is to attend the national independence festival. After many long resistance wars, our country has gained independence and freedom. This joy is multiplied when the Party and State organize the 80th National Day celebration."

Among the crowd present from the afternoon of August 29, Mr. Hoang Van Thao (27 years old, from Nghe An) and his family identified this as a special event, one does not always have the opportunity to witness it in one's lifetime, so they had to prepare to watch early. "The atmosphere was really exciting, jubilant, cheers echoed everywhere, I felt an indescribable emotion rising in my heart. The moment thousands of people joined in clapping and cheering in the sea of people, I felt more clearly the connection, the common pride of millions of hearts," said Mr. Thao.

With deep gratitude, I and my young friends will try our best to serve and contribute to the country. That is not only a source of pride, but also a responsibility that the young generation needs to shoulder."

Maximum effort to serve and support the people

From the afternoon of August 29, when thousands of people from all directions poured into the streets where the parades and marches passed, it was also the time when the functional forces of the wards in particular and Hanoi city in general "stretched themselves" to ensure that people had the most complete moments watching the A80 rehearsal. 6,000 seats were arranged by Ba Dinh ward at point 61 Tran Phu street to serve veterans and meritorious people. Only 100m away, hundreds of seats were also arranged by O Cho Dua ward with priority for the best view for veterans and meritorious people.

Not only creating favorable conditions for facilities to serve people watching the parade, the grassroots cadres, civil servants and public employees were also mobilized to the maximum, staying up all night, ready to serve the people. Witnessing the scene of not having enough tents for people to shelter from the sudden rain on the evening of August 29 and early morning of August 30, many "public servants" burst into tears, gave up their umbrellas, and shared cardboard sheets to help people shelter from the rain with the hope that everyone would stay healthy to fully enjoy the ceremony.

Major Duong Van Luong (Traffic Police Department - Hung Yen Provincial Police) said that being entrusted with the task of strengthening the service for the September 2nd National Day is a great honor and pride for him. "We are deeply aware of the special significance of the event, consider this a key political task, and are determined to unite, be disciplined, and closely coordinate with comrades and teammates in the capital, contributing to ensuring absolute traffic safety, security and order, and creating a beautiful image of the People's Public Security force in the eyes of the people and international friends," said Major Duong Van Luong.

During the night, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Cuong, an officer of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team No. 22 in charge of Kim Ma Street, quickly performed first aid and carried the unconscious child through the crowd to the ambulance. Thanks to timely coordination, the child was out of danger and is now in stable health. Witnessing the incident, many people present at the scene were very moved. "They are truly always ready for the people," said Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha (Tu Liem Ward).

Besides the efforts of volunteers, people's awareness has also been raised when they proactively collect garbage to ensure environmental sanitation.

The rehearsal is not just a simple rehearsal, but also a place where the sacred emotions of the people converge, also demonstrating the great sense of responsibility of the functional forces of Hanoi. From there, it arouses in the hearts of each citizen joy, excitement and eagerness to watch the official ceremony taking place on September 2.

Closing a successful rehearsal, with so many emotions. Among them, there is an extremely sacred and profound emotion, that is love, pride for the Fatherland when witnessing the rehearsal. That is when we stand in the middle of a large space, witnessing rows of solemn soldiers marching, the red flag with yellow star fluttering proudly in the blue sky, in the majestic melody of the National Anthem, everyone solemnly stands up and puts their hands on their left chest, our hearts suddenly beat faster and our eyes well up with tears...

Witnessing the rehearsal, we suddenly understood that love for the Fatherland does not need anything too grand. It begins with a sense of responsibility, with gratitude to the generations of fathers who fought and sacrificed to protect every inch of the homeland, and from the aspiration of today's generation to continue, preserve and build.
