Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Director of the Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities, former member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, has devoted her heart and soul to building this center, especially after her retirement.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, the center has been established for more than 9 years. It was a difficult time, because the center provides education completely free of charge, the most worrying thing is the material conditions for the children to study and live on site. All thanks to the "kind hands" of benefactors supporting the center to educate disabled children in the poor land of Quang Ngai.

The good news is that the teachers here are all passionate about their profession and have trained many students to become adults, including students who have become teaching assistants right at this center. In particular, many students have gone on to earn a living with the profession they learned at the center, especially sewing.
Giving money and gifts to children at Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities
By this school year, the Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities has provided free education for 110 children, including 37 children who both learn to read and write and learn a trade. To help them develop, the center has sent 8 children to the second facility of the Center for Children with Disabilities in Ho Chi Minh City to train in occupations such as applied arts, advanced sewing, cultural studies, gold and silver crafting, and gemstones. Accordingly, at the end of May, the Ho Chi Minh City Gold and Gemstone Association will provide jobs and receive 3 new children for training.
Products made by the hands of disabled children
Vo Hong Son Center for Children with Disabilities always wishes to accept children to study, to provide them with quality cultural and vocational training, to practice life skills... to create stable and long-term jobs for them in the future. Currently, when coming to the sewing and painting workshop... you will see beautiful hand-sewn handbags, hand-embroidered paintings... which are the learning results of the disabled children at this center.
