Bustling spring atmosphere
Hanoi in the last days of the year seems to be "stirring" to prepare for a new moment, both gentle and vibrant, both brilliant and quiet. In the remaining days before the New Year, the people of the capital take advantage of the opportunity to go shopping for Tet, strolling around the streets and enjoying the traditional atmosphere.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, 68 years old (living at 9 Hang Luoc Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) leisurely strolled through Hang Luoc Flower Market, a long-standing traditional flower market of the people of the Old Quarter. Having lived here all his life, he was amazed at the changes in Hanoi: "The streets are now more crowded and bustling, and Tet is also much more joyful than before. The bustling atmosphere of the streets, bustling with buyers and sellers, shows that people's lives are improving day by day," Mr. Tuan said.
Quietly watching the busy traffic on the street, Mr. Tuan smiled at the changes in Hanoi, not only in quantity, but also in quality of life. "The country is changing and developing rapidly. In the past, no one thought that Buoi dike would turn into a large, beautiful, and decent overpass like today, Nghia Do village would turn into Vo Chi Cong street with 4 lanes in each direction, so spacious and airy... The development of urban infrastructure has made Hanoi people proud of the Party and the country that is growing up," Mr. Tuan shared.

The central area of Hanoi, concentrated at Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi's Old Quarter, is always bustling with tourists from all over the world enjoying the Tet atmosphere. Many foreign tourists staying in Hanoi also take the opportunity to preserve memories of Vietnam's traditional Tet. Carol and Stephano, two tourists from Switzerland, said: "We think the atmosphere of Tet holidays in your country is wonderful. Everyone seems to be eagerly preparing for the Lunar New Year holiday, the shops are bustling with buyers and sellers, with a variety of typical goods, many attractive colors, expressing the Tet atmosphere. We feel excited and happy to be able to join in the Tet atmosphere of Hanoians on these special days."

The two tourists also learned about and were deeply impressed by the Vietnamese people's respect for traditional values in modern life. "Although urban life in Hanoi is modern, everyone looks forward to the traditional Tet holiday to reunite with their families," Stephano expressed his admiration for the spirit of the people of the capital city towards the old traditional values...
New faith and aspiration
The days of welcoming the New Year also coincide with the time when the whole country joyfully celebrates the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam . In the joyful atmosphere of the days of Tet coming to Spring, celebrating the Party and Spring, looking back at the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc, former Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children (now the Committee on Culture and Education) expressed his pride and confidence in the leadership of the Party: "Since the Party was founded, our country has gone from one victory to another. All of those achievements are due to the leadership of the Party...".

Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc emphasized that it is the Party's leadership that has brought about heroic victories in the nation's history, from the August Revolution in 1945 to the resistance war against the US to save the country. Not only stopping at military victories, the great achievements that the country has achieved during the renovation period are highly appreciated by the international community such as: Vietnam has eliminated hunger and reduced poverty; the country is increasingly developing; the people are increasingly well-off; the Party's leadership thinking and the improvement of people's knowledge are increasingly improved...
“The Party is morality, wisdom, and civilization. Achieving and surpassing 15 socio-economic development targets in 2024 is a solid premise to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, opening a new page in history for the Vietnamese people. By 2030, Vietnam strives to become a high-income developing country, and by 2045 it must become a developed country,” Dr. Nguyen Viet Chuc affirmed that the country's achievements demonstrate the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh.

Sharing the joy and pride in the country's achievements, Mr. Duong Tu Minh, former cadre of the Hanoi Youth Union, now Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee for revolutionary soldiers imprisoned by the enemy at Hoa Lo Prison, could not hide his joy at the changes in Hanoi: "The city is now very different from before. Giang Vo area, from low-rise residential areas, has now become rows of high-rise buildings; urban areas are springing up rapidly, replacing deserted streets and vast fields... showing the transformation of the capital. Thanks to the correct economic policy, the country's development has been promoted, improving the lives of the people. In the past, any house with a radio or a bicycle was considered very luxurious, but now, every family in the city has a motorbike, a television, a refrigerator, even a car... All are the results of a civilized society, thanks to the glorious Party!".
However, in addition to economic achievements, Mr. Minh also expressed his wish for social justice and humanity in the community. “For the previous generation, we only hope that the economy develops and life improves, but still maintains fairness and humanity in society, as beautiful as the days of hard fighting...”, Mr. Minh confided, sharing the thoughts of the elderly, those who have experienced the difficult years of history...
The atmosphere of Tet is approaching, bringing with it joy, excitement and expectations for a good new year. At the moment of changing seasons, every household and every person not only feels the changes in Hanoi, but also clearly sees the great achievements the country has made after 95 years of the Party's founding. Those achievements come not only from the wise leadership of the Party and State, but also from the efforts and solidarity of the entire nation.
