At the meeting, 5 citizens in Ninh Giang district reported on the situation of pond encroachment and land violations occurring in some communes and towns.

Regarding the above content, according to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ninh Giang district, recently, the work of preventing and handling violations of laws on land, irrigation and environment in the district has been actively directed and implemented by Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level.

However, currently in some localities such as Hung Long, An Duc, Vinh Hoa... the detection, prevention and handling of violations are still not timely and strict.

After listening to the feedback from people and reports from units and localities, the Chairman of Ninh Giang District People's Committee directed the People's Committees of communes, towns and related agencies and units to strengthen the dissemination of laws on land, irrigation, dykes and environment.

Assign specialized staff to regularly monitor, urge, inspect the situation, and receive information from people about violations. Proactively prevent and handle violations related to land, irrigation, dykes, and the environment, and resolutely prevent new violations from occurring.

Heads of agencies, units, and chairmen of People's Committees of communes and towns shall strengthen leadership and direction in land management and use. Promptly commend places that do well and criticize places that are slow to detect and handle land violations.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of communes and towns is responsible for promptly and thoroughly handling violations in the management area. The local leader is personally responsible if violations of land management and use within the management area occur and is not promptly prevented and handled, and will be criticized, reviewed, and disciplined according to regulations.

Do not let organizations and individuals take advantage of the time when agencies in the political system are focusing on implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on organizational restructuring to commit violations in the fields of land, irrigation, environment, etc.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, at regular citizen receptions, the leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ninh Giang District have received 48 citizen receptions with 54 people. The two district and commune levels in Ninh Giang had to handle a total of 119 petitions; 110 petitions have been handled, reaching a rate of 92.4%.
