Deploying electronic medical records at medical examination and treatment facilities in the province

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to deploy electronic medical records at medical examination and treatment facilities in the province, with the goal that by September 30, 2025, 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the province (including private hospitals) will implement and publish electronic medical records according to the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Health.

To achieve the above objectives, the Provincial People's Committee requires departments, branches and units to consider the implementation of electronic medical records as a key and top priority task. Heads of agencies and units must prioritize resources, mobilize the participation of organizations, businesses and people, resolutely implement, ensure quality and progress at all hospitals, general clinics, medical centers of districts, towns and cities, including private hospitals in the province. At the same time, ensure the connection and sharing of electronic medical records data between medical examination and treatment facilities and related database information systems and information security, network security and information confidentiality according to regulations. In particular, localities must closely coordinate with the Department of Health in handing over and receiving records and related tasks when implementing the 2-level local government model.
