At 11:00 a.m. one day in mid-May, more than 900 workers of Sanest Khanh Hoa Beverage Joint Stock Company and Sanna Khanh Hoa Beverage Joint Stock Company (Cam Thinh Dong Commune, Cam Ranh City) stopped working and gathered in the cafeteria to have a meal. That day, the meal was more special than usual with dishes such as: braised cobia, stir-fried beef, fried eggs, boiled vegetables with kho quet sauce, and stuffed bitter melon soup. After the main meal, each worker was also given a can of bird's nest drink and a glass of green bean sweet soup. Notably, during mealtime, company leaders and the union directly visited each table to visit, encourage, and express their appreciation for the companionship of the workers.

Business leaders and trade union of Khanh Hoa State-owned One Member Co., Ltd. visited, encouraged and thanked workers at the trade union meal.

Ms. Doan Thi Ly - a worker at Sanest Khanh Hoa Beverage Joint Stock Company shared: "The daily meals are already full, today they are even more abundant, everyone praised the deliciousness and quality. We are very grateful to the union for always accompanying the company to take care of the lives of workers."

At the Dien Phu Bird's Nest Specialty Processing Factory, the atmosphere of the "Union Meal" program was equally warm. More than 190 meals worth 50,000 VND/meal with many delicious and nutritious dishes were carefully prepared by the union of Khanh Hoa State-owned One Member Co., Ltd. as a thank you to the workers. Mr. Phan Minh Vu - an employee of the factory said: "Not only did we get to eat delicious food, we also received 1 million VND in support from the union. This is a very meaningful gift, creating more trust and connection between the workers and the factory."

At Hai Nam Company Limited (Dien Phu Industrial Cluster, Dien Khanh District), nearly 400 meals worth 55,000 VND/meal were carefully prepared by the trade unions of the provincial Industrial Parks and Economic Zones with the support of the enterprises. The meal included dishes such as boiled chicken, wild boar stir-fried with lemongrass and chili, stir-fried vegetables, sour stingray soup, yogurt and banana dessert. Ms. Do Luong Phuong Anh - an employee of the company, emotionally said: "The meal is not only of high quality but also brings joy, helping us feel the sharing and more attached to the company and the trade union" ...

Create more benefits for union members

According to Mr. Tran Tan Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union, Deputy Head of the General Department of Khanh Hoa State-owned One Member Limited Liability Company, taking care of the material and spiritual life of employees is always a top priority. Over the years, the unit has not only ensured adequate salary and bonus policies but also coordinated to propose more welfare policies for employees. The Trade Union regularly listens to the thoughts and aspirations of employees to promptly recommend appropriate adjustments to the leadership.

The work of praising and rewarding employees with high achievements and initiatives is also carried out periodically, creating motivation for employees to strive. Not only that, to thank employees, in May 2025, the company's union organized 1,975 quality meals (priced from 30,000 - 50,000 VND/meal) at 5 centralized dining locations; organized recreational activities, competitions; gave birthday gifts to employees whose birthdays were in the month. These activities contribute to creating a friendly working environment, encouraging employees to stick together to build a sustainable development unit.

Ms. Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor said that this is the second year the Provincial Federation of Labor has launched the "Union Meal" program. This year, the program focuses on mobilizing businesses with a large number of employees and daily meal arrangements to coordinate implementation. The main funding source comes from businesses and unions supporting an additional 20,000 - 50,000 VND/meal, creating conditions to improve the quality of meals for workers. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also provides 1,500 support meals (worth 700,000 VND/meal) for union members and workers who have occupational accidents and are in difficult circumstances. Through "Union Meals", unions at all levels hope to spread the spirit of sharing and solidarity, while expressing respect and recognition for the silent contributions of workers to the common development of businesses and society.
