Clean water to the village
Over the past month, 70 Ede ethnic minority households in Residential Area C3, Buôn Sim village (Ninh Tay commune, Ninh Hoa town) have been very happy when clean water pipes have been brought to each house. Ms. H'Ben (Buôn Sim village) said that in the past, to have water for use, people in the village often got water from wells near their houses. But after many years, these wells have all degraded, the water source has not been treated, is not hygienic and often lacks water during the dry months, people have to go to the fields about 1.5km from the village every day to get water from the underground water source for daily use, which is very difficult. More than a This month, clean water has been brought in, and her family and other households in the village use this water source for drinking and cooking, so they feel very secure. To save clean water, her family still uses well water for washing clothes, watering plants, etc. She hopes that in the future, the State will continue to upgrade and renovate the degraded wells in the village so that people can use it with peace of mind.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Quan - Deputy Director of the Center for Production Operation and Water Quality Management (Ninh Hoa Urban Joint Stock Company) said that the project to bring the pipeline to Buon Sim village was started by the company in February 2025. Residential area C3, Buon Sim village has 70 households but is far from Ninh Tay Water Treatment Station. Therefore, the company's workers had to design and pull the pipeline through fields and hills about 2km long to bring clean water to the people. After many construction efforts, by May 2025, the project was completed, the clean water pipes were connected to each household in Buon Sim village for stable and long-term use. The water source on the pipeline to Buon Sim village is taken from Ninh Tay Water Treatment Station, the water quality ensures clean water standards.

Ms. H'Anh Nguyet - Vice Chairman of Ninh Tay Commune People's Committee said that similar to Buon Sim village, in Buon Dung village, there were only 2 wells previously supported by the State, but the water source here was contaminated with alum, so people had to go to the stream, find underground water sources to get water for use, which was very difficult. Currently, 12 households in Buon Lac village, 28 households in Buon Dung village (Ninh Tay commune) have been using clean water pipes of Ninh Hoa Urban Joint Stock Company to their homes. Local leaders and people are very excited, no longer worried about the lack of clean water like in previous years.
Continue to upgrade and expand the network
Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh - Director of Ninh Hoa Urban Joint Stock Company said that in recent years, the company has had investment plans to narrow the scope of areas that have not been supplied with water. In 2025, the company has invested in installing additional distribution pipelines on residential roads but without water supply pipes (or having pipes but not supplying enough water to customers) in the water systems of the following localities: Ninh Dong, Ninh Son, Ninh Tay, Ninh Sim, Ninh Xuan, Ninh Loc, Ninh Ich, Ninh Thuong, Ninh Binh, Ninh Trung. At the same time, the company has also gradually replaced distribution pipes that are over 15 years old and small and do not supply enough water to solve the local water shortage.
Since the beginning of 2025, the company has invested in developing the water supply network in the town with a total investment of 5.63 billion VND. The scale of development has expanded with a total length of service pipelines, distribution and installation of 23,904m; the number of households using water has increased by 310 new households, solving the problem of poor clean water for 405 households. Currently, the company has supplied water to more than 58,000 customers in 25/26 communes and wards (the rate of wards is 98%, communes is 95%). However, currently, in the town, there are still sparsely populated areas without a water system; at the same time, during peak hours, there is still a local shortage of water in many areas in the inner city and at the end points of the water supply line.
To ensure clean water supply for Ninh Hoa town in the coming time, the company has sent documents to departments, branches and the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of the investment project to upgrade Ninh Trung, Ninh Than, Ninh Dong water supply, increasing the capacity from 5,500m3 /day and night to 15,500m3 /day and night. The project is implemented with the aim of ensuring water supply for the town's residents until 2030; bringing clean water to low-lying areas that currently do not have clean water, especially Ninh Phuoc commune; at the same time, serving the water needs of industrial parks being formed and developed in the communes and wards in the north and east of Ninh Hoa.
