Big explosion at house in Tay Ninh, 6 people injured

(Dan Tri) - After a loud explosion, people came to a house in Thanh Tay commune, Tan Bien district ( Tay Ninh ) and discovered 6 people with severe burns. The victims were taken to the emergency room by local people.

At around 2:40 p.m. on December 23, residents of Thanh Tay commune (Tan Bien district) heard a loud explosion coming from a house in the area.

When they arrived to check, they found six people in the house seriously injured. The force of the explosion shattered many properties in the house, and the walls and ceiling collapsed.

Among the 6 victims, one was slightly injured, while local residents took the remaining 5 victims to the Tan Bien District Medical Center for emergency treatment in a state of severe burns (40-60% of the body). Medical staff provided first aid and continued to transfer the victims to Tay Ninh Provincial General Hospital for treatment.

After examination, doctors assessed the patients' injuries as quite serious, and continued to transfer 4/5 victims to Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.

The identities of 4/5 victims were initially identified as PPĐ., NHN (both 15 years old), TTN (born 2007), D.VP (born 1964, all residing in Tan Bien district).

After the explosion, Tan Bien District Police arrived to examine the scene, take witness statements and investigate the cause of the incident. According to relatives, the explosion originated from a gas tank in the house.
