Hai Duong farmers experiment with raising eggplant in ponds for the first time

After a period of experimental rearing, it was shown that eggplant can grow and develop in the pond.

The total area of ​​the two households testing eggplant farming is over 5,000 ^m2 . One household is in Hung Dao commune (Chi Linh) and one household is in Ha Thanh commune (Tu Ky). The households mainly buy small eggplants harvested from nature, a small part buys artificially produced seeds.

The main food of the eggplant is minced fish and algae in the pond.

The above households raised and released the seeds in early March 2024. The feed for the eggplant was minced trash fish. Initially, through monitoring, the eggplant could grow and develop in pond conditions.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development guides people on how to treat ponds and prevent some common diseases in eggplant.

This is a specialty crab that is favored by many people with a high selling price. Currently, the supply of eggplant on the market is from natural exploitation, the quantity of large eggplant is scarce, supply cannot meet demand.
