Sean Dyche leads Forest. |
Sean Dyche was selected by Nottingham Forest following a rigorous selection process led by Edu Gaspar (Global Head of Football) and George Syrianos (Global Technical Director).
The English coach will make his official debut on the coaching bench on October 24, when Nottingham Forest face FC Porto in the Europa League qualifying round.
Dyche is joined by two familiar partners Ian Woan and Steve Stone, former Nottingham Forest players who made a total of more than 400 appearances for the club in the 1990s. The trio's arrival promises to bring a breath of fresh air to the club, after a series of disappointing matches under Ange Postecoglou.
With over 330 Premier League games under his belt, Sean Dyche is considered one of the most experienced and distinctive coaches in the game. He is known for his philosophy of solid defensive organisation, tenacious fighting spirit and effective use of set pieces - factors that are considered to be suitable for the characteristics of Nottingham Forest's current squad.
Not only does Dyche have professional experience, he also has a special attachment to the team as a former player of Forest's academy and currently lives locally. Forest hopes that his understanding of the culture, spirit and people management style will help the team recover and go further this season.
