On August 9, the thematic supervision delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee on crime prevention and control and drug abuse in the province from 2020 to May 2023 had a working session with the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Police.

In recent times, the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Police have focused on leading and directing the police of 16 wards, communes, and related professional teams to synchronously deploy measures and solutions to prevent and combat crimes and environmental evils. The City Police have actively coordinated to promote propaganda to raise awareness, responsibility, and understanding of all classes of people about the harmful effects of environmental evils, detect and denounce environmental crimes; paid attention to building and consolidating models of mass self-management of security and order, and drug addict management in the community. In addition, they have done a good job of advising Party committees and authorities at all levels on preventing and combating crimes and environmental evils; coordinated with the Procuracy and the Court in the process of investigating, prosecuting, and promptly and strictly trying violations before the law, thereby curbing the increase of crimes and environmental evils, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety in the locality.

Through the work, the Supervisory Delegation highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City in the past time; requested the City Police to continue to review and evaluate the achievements, difficulties and limitations, on that basis, propose more effective solutions for crime prevention and control in the coming time. In particular, focusing on consulting and coordinating with Party committees, authorities, front organizations and unions to promote propaganda in appropriate forms; mobilize people of all walks of life to actively participate in the movement of the whole people to protect national security in general and prevent crime and environmental evils in particular. Strengthening the mobilization and sending subjects to compulsory drug rehabilitation; managing well the subjects after drug rehabilitation... contributing to ensuring security, order and social safety in the locality.
