Female artilleryman of Quang Khai commune won the "fireworks queen" award at the traditional land artillery exchange of Tu Ky district.

This year's exchange attracted nearly 100 gunners from three communes: Minh Duc, Quang Khai and Dai Hop.

Teams compete in 3 tables (boards or strings of fireworks). In each string of fireworks, each team is given 30 fireworks, the competition time is 45 minutes. The team with the longest total length of fireworks wins.

In particular, this year's land artillery exchange for the first time had the participation of female gunners in the district, bringing novelty and attracting a large audience to watch and cheer.

The organizing committee awarded the first prize to Quang Khai commune; second prize to Minh Duc commune; third prize to Dai Hop commune. Gunners Pham Van Dat and Nguyen Van Long from Minh Duc commune both won the “cannon king” prize. Gunner Vu Thi Thuan from Quang Khai commune won the “cannon queen” prize.

The traditional clay firecracker exchange of Tu Ky district is often held at the beginning of the new year.
