Making rude comments about the academic performance of a female student who was cheering for the music night “Anh trai say hi”, the young man did not expect that the girl was once a valedictorian with very good academic results.
In recent days, social networks have been abuzz with the story of a young man "teasing" the wrong valedictorian.
The story originated from a comment by an account named Duy Duc on the TikTok channel of female student Lapetitebeng.
Specifically, after the female student posted a clip of her attending the live music night "Anh trai say hi" and expressed her enthusiastic admiration, Duy Duc's account commented: "If you study like that, your parents will surely cry tears of joy."
In response to this comment, TikToker Lapetitebeng made a short clip to introduce his education story.
Lapetitebeng is the account of female student Tran Thi Thanh Hien, a former French major student of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Phu Tho province.
In the 2022 high school graduation exam, Thanh Hien was the valedictorian of block D01 in Phu Tho province with a total score of 28.5 (including Literature 9.5; English 10; Math 9). That year, Thanh Hien's score was only 0.2 points lower than the valedictorian of block D01 nationwide.
Thanh Hien was then admitted to the Marketing department - the department with the highest admission score of the National Economics University that year.
Currently, she is a third-year student and an active member of the Youth Neu Media Club of the National Economics University.
Although she studied French, Thanh Hien is also fluent in English. In fact, she registered for the high school graduation exam and achieved a perfect score in English. Thanh Hien said that she studied both languages in parallel during her high school years. Currently, she has a TOEFL iBT certificate at level B2.
Thanh Hien's impressive academic achievements made her response clip attract the attention of many people.
Sharing with VietNamNet , Thanh Hien said that many people in society still hold prejudices about young people admiring idols, thinking that they are people without a good academic background, while in reality that is not the case.
According to the female student, idolizing someone even helps her have more motivation to do more things and become better.
“Idolizing someone doesn’t waste your time or distract you from studying. The important thing is to know how to organize your time scientifically . I always make sure to study when I study, play when I play, study with all my heart and play with all my heart,” Thanh Hien said.
Thanh Hien said that she idolizes the "brothers" of the show "Anh trai say hi" so she went to all 3 shows in Hanoi. The cost of attending the concerts is the money Hien earned from her TikTok channel and part-time job.
The female student said that many female fans are both good at studying and know how to earn money from honest work thanks to the motivation of idols like her.
Since high school, Thanh Hien has studied photography and opened an online photo studio, attracting thousands of followers. She also does design services and creates digital content. This is where Hien records portrait moments and considers it a side job besides studying.
The female student also revealed that her current academic results at the National Economics University are excellent.
The 'Say Hi Brothers' hope to spread positive values to the younger generation.
