On the morning of June 26, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, a student of class 12A5, Cu Huy Can High School, went to the exam site of Vu Quang High School ( Ha Tinh ) to take the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. The image of the petite female student being carefully escorted by volunteers step by step into the exam room moved many witnesses.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (born in 2007, residing in Duc Linh commune, Vu Quang district) was born into a farming family with four siblings. Since childhood, Nhan suffered from a congenital disability, making it difficult for her to walk and pronounce words clearly. Despite many difficulties, Nhan always tried her best in her studies.
In particular, during the 12 years of studying, Nhan went to school on her parents' feet. The image of a little girl being taken to the school gate by her parents for many years of studying has become a beautiful image, with great determination in the eyes of her peers.

“To get to school, I have to travel 8km of winding mountain roads, but luckily my parents always accompany me. I am in poor health and cannot do heavy work, so only knowledge can help me have a better life,” Thanh Nhan shared.
Throughout the 12th grade, despite the hardships of traveling and unstable health, she still diligently studied. Right from the lectures in class, each page of her notes was carefully taken care of, because they were the small bricks that built Thanh Nhan's dream of learning.
According to regulations, disabled students like Thanh Nhan are exempted from the high school graduation exam. But Nhan voluntarily refused that priority. Nhan wanted to take the exam to test her ability in the important exam.
“I want to compete to test myself, to prove that even though my body is not healthy, I can still study, work hard and pursue my dreams like everyone else,” Nhan shared in a slow but determined voice.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan is determined to take the high school graduation exam with the hope of reaching her dream. |
For Thanh Nhan, the high school graduation exam is not only a test of knowledge, but also a test of determination, faith and self-respect. She took the exam to prove to herself that she, like many other friends, can study, can take exams and can dream. Thanh Nhan also shared that after graduation, she plans to study at a school for the disabled. If she is lucky enough to pass the university entrance exam, she will continue to pursue her dream of learning.
Mr. Vo Quang Hoa - homeroom teacher of class 12A5, Cu Huy Can High School shared that, despite her disability, Thanh Nhan always strives to excel in her studies. In class, Nhan is loved by her friends and teachers because she is sincere, well-behaved, loving and sharing.
“Thanh Nhan tried very hard to go to school. There were days when her health did not allow it, but as long as she saw an important class, she would still ask to go to class, even if it was just to listen to the lecture. For Nhan, each class was a step closer to her dream. Before the exam, I still encouraged her to try hard, stay calm, and be confident to do well on the test,” said teacher Quang Hoa.
To serve the exam, the Steering Committee has also mobilized more than 3,000 teachers, staff, police, medical and security forces to perform exam supervision, guard the inner and outer areas, maintain security and order during the exam sessions; and increase traffic flow at the exam sites.
