The top female student of block C in Da Nang shares the secret to getting 9.5 points in literature

(Dan Tri) - Le Khanh Nguyen, a 12/6 student at Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, has excelled in becoming the valedictorian of block C of Da Nang city in 2025 with a total score of 29.5.

In which, Nguyen got two 10s in history and geography, 9.5 in literature, making teachers and friends admire.

After receiving the results, Nguyen was surprised because the score far exceeded his expectations. "Although I tried very hard, when I saw the almost perfect scores in 3 subjects, I still couldn't believe my eyes," Nguyen shared.

This impressive achievement is the result of a long process of self-study, serious training and constant efforts of the female student.

As a student majoring in literature, Khanh Nguyen affirmed that this is the subject that gives him the most confidence in the exam. However, to maintain his form and promote his strengths, he has never been subjective.

According to Khanh Nguyen, studying literature is not just about memorizing works, but more importantly, understanding and analyzing the content and artistic value, grasping the characteristics of the genre and knowing how to write logically and attractively.

"Literature for me goes through two processes: accumulation and writing. The accumulation process is mainly reading and listening to lectures at school. The main foundation for reading is works in textbooks. Besides, the new program also requires more extensive reading and accumulation, especially current events at home and abroad," Khanh Nguyen shared.

The female student said that this year's essay topic is also related to one of the country's major current events. For Nguyen, studying literature cannot be separated from writing.

"If I don't write, I will become unfamiliar with words after a long time. Therefore, when I write, I can evaluate myself more objectively," she said.

Nguyen also focuses on practicing fast writing skills, an important factor in completing the test within the time limit. For each type of test, Nguyen has a specific method, practicing writing each introduction, body, and conclusion until he is proficient.

For history and geography, Khanh Nguyen's secret is to build a solid foundation of knowledge and practice the questions carefully. He especially emphasizes the importance of studying from textbooks.

"With the new program changing a lot, textbooks are the most solid foundation. My friends and I are the first class to learn the new program, so we haven't had much practice. I'm also lucky to have the enthusiastic support of teachers," Khanh Nguyen expressed.

With impressive scores, Khanh Nguyen applied for admission to the Faculty of Literature Pedagogy, University of Education, University of Da Nang. The dream of becoming a literature teacher has been in her heart for a long time, nurtured by her love of literature and the desire to spread learning inspiration to future generations of students.

"I hope to become a teacher, not only imparting knowledge but also inspiring a love of literature in students. Because literature is not only a subject for exams but also a source of spiritual nourishment," Nguyen confided.

Mr. Le Thanh Vinh, Principal of Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, shared: "He is a diligent student, disciplined and especially has a very good self-study spirit - something not every student can do.

You have personality, intelligence and honesty. I admire you for always knowing how to explore and discover new things, not afraid of difficulties, that process of effort is silent and today, the results have spoken."

According to Mr. Vinh, Nguyen has a habit of reading books regularly, a habit that teachers at the school always try to instill in students.

"I believe that in an inspiring learning environment like this year's literature class, Khanh Nguyen has been given a lot of motivation," said teacher Le Thanh Vinh.
