On the morning of December 28, the Tra Cau River overflowed the embankment and flooded nearly 60 houses in residential group 1, Pho Minh ward. The local authorities organized the evacuation of 4 households to a safe place. Previously, on December 15, this residential area was also flooded due to the rising water of the Tra Cau River.
Currently, in Duc Pho town, more than 1,200 hectares of winter-spring rice crop 2024 - 2025 have been flooded. The locality is supporting and guiding people to drain water to limit damage.

It is forecasted that the flood on the Tra Cau River will recede slowly but still fluctuate at a very high level, the Ve River will continue to rise slowly, 0.3 - 0.4m above alert level 2.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue requested the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Duc Pho Town to closely monitor the heavy rain situation, organize the evacuation of households in deeply flooded areas, and guide traffic on flooded roads, etc.
