According to Deputy Secretary of Vinh Hung District Youth Union - Nguyen Minh Cuong, in order to promote the youth union members' (YV) and youth union members' (YV) movement, the District Youth Union has been strengthening the connection of KN models and projects to create conditions for youth to exchange and learn from each other's experiences; at the same time, proactively creating links with businesses to support youth KN in terms of capital, technology and market,... to motivate other youth to participate in KN, developing family economy .

Currently, Vinh Hung district has 3 effective TN KN models. The Guppy farming model of Mr. Nguyen Van Tuoi (born in 1990, residing in Choi Moi hamlet, Tuyen Binh commune, Vinh Hung district, Long An province) is one of them. It is known that the Guppy farming model was implemented by Mr. Tuoi since June 2023, stemming from the desire to bring a stable source of income for his family and build a career for himself.

Initially, when he had the idea of implementing this KN model, Mr. Tuoi encountered many difficulties, especially regarding capital. Mr. Tuoi is an excellent member of the commune, enthusiastic and enthusiastically participating in many local Youth Union movements.

Therefore, the Commune Youth Union supported Mr. Tuoi to borrow 50 million VND preferential loan from the Social Policy Bank to invest and implement the Guppy farming model.

Due to lack of practical experience, at first, the fish loss rate was high, not bringing economic efficiency. Not discouraged, with the spirit of eagerness to learn, Mr. Tuoi gradually overcame the difficulties.

He spent a lot of time researching and learning more knowledge on the Internet, learning guppies farming techniques from experienced people. Gradually, he mastered the farming techniques, improved the quality of the breed and expanded the consumption market.

Mr. Tuoi shared: “Currently, my farm has about 1,000 pairs of fish, each month producing more than 1,000 guppies for the market. I usually deliver to customers, mostly in the district area, the rest are in Ho Chi Minh City.

The advantage of the guppy farming model is that I raise them with canvas so it doesn't take up too much space. I raise them in front of my house so it's easier to control, manage, care for, and change the water. At the same time, raising guppies with canvas also contributes to protecting the environment, avoiding water pollution,...".

Currently, due to the modest scale, after deducting expenses, each month, he has a profit of more than 6 million VND, although not much, it still contributes to stabilizing the family economy.

It is known that with the concept of “quality over quantity”, Mr. Tuoi has no plans to expand the farming area in the near future. Instead, he will focus on raising the current guppies well, finding new and healthier guppies to improve the quality of the breed.
