(PLVN) - Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, Chief Prosecutor of Quang Nam Province (old) was appointed to hold the position of Chief Prosecutor of Da Nang City (new) from July 1.

On June 25, the People's Procuracy of Da Nang City announced the decision to appoint the Chief Prosecutor and key leadership positions after the administrative boundary merger between Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province.

The leaders of the Supreme People's Procuracy and the collective congratulated the new Chief Prosecutor of Da Nang City People's Procuracy.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Supreme People's Procuracy announced the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Quang Nam province (old) to hold the position of Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Da Nang city (new). The decision takes effect from July 1, 2025, the official time of operation of the new local government model in the spirit of the Central Resolution.

Along with that, the Supreme People's Procuracy also awarded decisions to appoint 7 Deputy Chief Prosecutors and 12 Chief Prosecutors of areas under the Da Nang City People's Procuracy.

In his speech assigning tasks, Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, emphasized: The workload after the merger is very large, requiring the leadership of the new Da Nang City People's Procuracy to urgently start working to ensure smooth operations from July 1. He asked the entire industry to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and strive to overcome difficulties in the transition period.

Mr. Tran Hoai Nam, new Chief Prosecutor of Da Nang City People's Procuracy, gave a speech accepting his assignment.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Tran Hoai Nam expressed his gratitude to the leaders at all levels for entrusting him with this important task. At the same time, he determined that this was both an honor and a heavy responsibility. Therefore, the new Chief Prosecutor of Da Nang City People's Procuracy and the collective leadership and staff of the new Da Nang City People's Procuracy promised to try harder to be worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party Committee and leaders.

Mr. Nam has 32 years of experience in the prosecution industry, having held many leadership positions at the People's Procuracy of Da Nang and Quang Nam.
