On May 5 (US time), the first day of the trial of music star Sean Combs (stage name Diddy) took place and attracted media attention.
According to Independent, Diddy wore a blue sweater and a white shirt when he arrived at court. The music star has been seen to have changed a lot in appearance after nearly a year in detention. Diddy revealed his silver hair and a rather worried face.

The Independent wrote: "The man who was famous in the music world at the time appeared frail. His hair was grey. He even admitted to being worried."
During the trial, Diddy asked for permission to go to the bathroom and the judge granted it. The music star was given a two-minute recess in the courtroom.
On the first day of Diddy's trial, the judge worked with dozens of potential jurors, asking them questions about their experiences with sexual assault, harassment or domestic violence.
Diddy is facing charges of sex trafficking, organized crime, and human trafficking for prostitution. The celebrity has been denied bail multiple times despite being willing to pay $50 million.
Prosecutors said they interviewed more than 50 witnesses and collected evidence from 100 laptops, cellphones and other electronic devices.
On the May 6 trial day, 39 potential jurors, ranging in age from 38 to 87 and from various professions, will appear in court and receive questions related to the case.
Days before Diddy's trial, a list of 190 celebrities implicated in the case was provided to jurors.
The list includes stars like: Michael B. Jordan, Kanye West, Mike Myers, Kid Cudi, Michelle Williams (member of Destiny's Child), Dawn Richard, actress Lauren London and many members of Diddy's family.
Diddy's ex-girlfriend, singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, is expected to be a key witness in the trial. Last year, a surveillance video from 2016, released by CNN, showed Diddy attacking Ventura at a hotel.
Few people were allowed to attend Diddy's trial. Outside the courthouse, about 100 people, including reporters and many residents, waited to watch. The music star's trial is expected to last at least eight weeks.

Diddy was arrested in New York (USA) on September 16, 2024. Since then, hundreds of people claiming to be victims of Diddy, including both men and women, have spoken out and filed lawsuits against Diddy in court. Many of them confirmed that they were sexually abused as minors.
Last March, a fellow inmate of the rapper shared about Diddy’s life in the Metropolitan Prison in Brooklyn (USA). According to this person, the famous star appeared mentally normal and friendly with his fellow inmates. However, Diddy is said to not interact with many people.
The rap star is being held in a relatively flexible detention area where inmates can relax by playing air hockey and are served better meals than in regular detention.
Last February, Diddy's attorney Anthony Ricco abruptly withdrew from the legal team. In a resignation letter filed in a New York court, Anthony Ricco explained: "Under no circumstances can I continue to serve as counsel for Sean Combs (Diddy)."
Before getting into trouble with the law, Diddy was considered a famous American music star, the founder of Bad Boy Records in 1993 and contributed to making hip-hop music famous worldwide. Diddy won 3 Grammy Awards and had a great influence on world music.
Diddy has amassed a large fortune over the years, particularly thanks to his wine business. According to Forbes, Diddy's net worth will reach around $1 billion by 2022 and drop to $600 million by 2024.
Diddy's case is considered one of the most influential criminal cases in American entertainment in recent years.
