This is the first time a Vietnamese non-life insurance company has received the “Digital Insurer of the Year” award at the Insurance Asia Awards – one of the prestigious award programs honoring insurance companies in the Asia- Pacific region organized by Charlton Media Group.
The above award is a recognition of OPES's initiatives and ability to effectively apply digital technology in the insurance industry, helping to provide optimal solutions for operations, product development and improved customer service. This is also the development orientation of OPES since its inception, placing technology as the DNA throughout the process of building and developing a pioneering digital insurer, thereby enhancing the customer experience journey through every touchpoint.
Through digital platforms, OPES customers and business partners will easily manage contracts, track claim records on mobile applications, websites and electronic portals. In particular, the fact that for the first time a Vietnamese enterprise has been awarded the "Digital Insurer of the Year" award has recognized the achievements of the digital transformation process in the insurance industry in Vietnam, keeping up with the world trend.
In addition to the “Digital Insurer of the Year” award, OPES also received an additional “Auto Initiative of the Year” award, with its flagship product being O.CAR. With O.CAR, OPES has integrated advanced technologies in the world that allow users to track their driving journey after the trip ends, from which customers can self-evaluate and improve their driving behavior, participating in traffic more responsibly and safely.
The fact that OPES was honored in two important categories at the same time of a prestigious international award in the insurance industry such as Insurance Asia Awards shows that OPES has made rapid and remarkable progress, gradually affirming its position on the map of non-life insurance in Vietnam, especially pioneering in the digitalization race.
To achieve the above results, in 2023, OPES signed cooperation agreements with big names in the technology industry and quickly implemented key projects such as: Applying Sapiens Software Solutions' CORE solution and cooperating with Microsoft to exploit the potential of cloud technology in insurance. In January 2024, after only 7 months of implementing the CORE project, OPES completed phase 1, successfully converting more than 6 million customers to the system, fully connecting with other sales platforms and internal systems of OPES.
According to the Organizing Committee, OPES has completely conquered the Jury consisting of prestigious international experts of Insurance Asia Award 2024 for its achievements after 6 years of establishment. OPES has been digitizing the entire process, minimizing the number of employees, using resources effectively to achieve original insurance revenue of more than 100 million USD and the best financial indicators in the market in 2023, serving more than 14 million customers, issuing more than 230 million insurance contracts. The company's digitalization strategy not only promotes outstanding growth but also improves quality, affirming its commitment to bringing new experiences to all OPES customers.
Last May, OPES was also named in the Top 10 outstanding enterprises of the ASEAN region at the ASEAN Economic Forum 2024 and the 5th ASEAN Award announcement ceremony. This award also contributed to strengthening the prestige, trust, and position of OPES in the hearts of partners and customers.
