Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh in charge of Can Tho University

On October 30, Professor Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the University Council of Can Tho University, signed and issued Resolution No. 126/NQ-HDT on assigning the task of being in charge of Can Tho University.

Accordingly, the University Council of Can Tho University assigned Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, Vice Rector of Can Tho University for the 2020-2025 term, to be in charge of Can Tho University from November 1, 2023 until the decision of the Minister of Education and Training to recognize the Rector of Can Tho University for the 2020-2025 term.

Currently, the Board of Directors of Can Tho University includes: Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan (Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung (Vice Rector). After October 31, 2023, Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan will officially retire according to regulations.

Mr. Tran Trung Tinh graduated from Can Tho University in 1997, and in 2004 he received his master's degree from Gyoengsang National University, Korea. In 2007, he received his doctorate from Gyoengsang National University and qualified as an associate professor in electrical engineering in 2013.

At Can Tho University, Mr. Tran Trung Tinh participated in teaching at the Faculty of Technology (7.1998 - 2.2007), Head of the Department of Technology (2.2007 - 12.2009), Deputy Head of the Faculty of Technology (1.2010 - 5.2012), Vice Principal from June 2012 to present.

Since November 2015, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh has concurrently held the position of Director of ODA Project Management Board, Can Tho University.

Can Tho University, under the Ministry of Education and Training, is the largest multidisciplinary, multi-fieldeducational institution in the Mekong Delta.
