Thai striker Supachok Sarachat's goal against Vietnam in the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final is being chosen by fans as the "Most Beautiful Goal" of the tournament.

On the morning of January 7, the ASEAN Cup 2024 opened a vote for the best goal decided by fans on the tournament's homepage. 10 goals were selected for the audience to vote. According to the voting results updated at around 12 o'clock, the "best goal of ASEAN Cup 2024" is a race between Nguyen Xuan Son of Vietnam and Supachok of Thailand. However, Supachok's goal is receiving votes from many people. Specifically, 1,754 viewers chose Supachok's goal, accounting for 75.48%. Meanwhile, Nguyen Xuan Son's goal in the first leg of the final on January 2 at Viet Tri Stadium only received a total of 24.23% of the votes from 1,754 votes. In addition, the organizers only recorded 0.17% more votes for the goals of striker Jao Pedro (Timor Leste) and Shawal Anuar (Singapore) with 0.11% of the total.
With the current result, Thai striker Supachok's goal is likely to become the "Best Goal of ASEAN Cup 2024" according to fans' votes. The number of votes for Supachok's goal against Vietnam increased rapidly in the morning. On many football forums, Vietnamese fans called for votes for this move. Supachok's goal came from a throw-in, midfielder Ben Davis passed to Supachok. From a distance of about 25m, the Thai player shot from a distance that defeated goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu. This situation caused a lot of controversy when Vietnamese players said that Supachok should return the ball after goalkeeper Dinh Trieu threw the ball out of bounds because a Vietnamese player was lying on the field in pain. Supachok still finished and raised the score to 2-1 for Thailand in the 64th minute and he received a lot of criticism for his fair play spirit. However, in the end, the Vietnamese team beat Thailand 3-2 and 5-3 overall to win the 2024 ASEAN Cup.
