Launching the FPGA Open 2025 Design Competition

DNO - On the morning of May 19th, the Da Nang Integrated Circuit Design and Artificial Intelligence Research and Training Center (DSAC, under the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones) launched the FPGA Design Open 2025 competition. With the goal of igniting passion, raising awareness, and developing research and design capabilities in integrated circuits among students in Da Nang city, DSAC, in collaboration with international companies including Gowin Semiconductor, Willas Electronics, Sonix, OneKiwi Technology, and Leci Ltd., organized a large-scale competition and intensive training program.

The preliminary round of the competition is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2025, with the final round and awards ceremony at the end of 2025. The competition includes one first prize, one second prize, three third prizes, and several other consolation prizes.

Alongside the competition, DSAC will collaborate with partner businesses to organize a free FPGA training program for students.

At the ceremony, DSAC and its partners signed a memorandum of cooperation on training semiconductor microchip personnel and organizing the FPGA Open 2025 competition.

Accordingly, the partners: Gowin Semiconductor, Willas Electronics, Onekiwi Technology, Leci Ltd., and Semiconductor Test Vietnam will sponsor the competition with $8,000 in cash and in-kind contributions.

On this occasion, the four finalists of the 2nd Smart City Integrated Circuit Design Competition (2024), the two semi-finalists of the Imagine Cup 2025 world competition, and the three winners of the National Imagine Cup 2025 Central Region competition were honored for their outstanding achievements.

In addition, DSAC awarded certificates to 41 outstanding trainees who successfully completed the intensive training program "Intel Gaudi and AI Software Platform".
