Implementing the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program in conjunction with digital transformation, many businesses, cooperatives, and production households in Ca Mau province have proactively applied information technology to promote and sell their products, contributing to expanding markets and enhancing the value of local OCOP brands.

Currently, Ca Mau province has 343 OCOP products, including 266 products with 3 stars, 75 products with 4 stars, and 2 products with 5 stars, mainly concentrated in the food, beverage, herbal, and handicraft categories. Along with investing in improving quality and design, many OCOP producers have boldly brought their products to digital platforms, e-commerce sites, and social media.

A prime example is the Dam Doi Crab Cooperative (Quach Pham commune), which has been participating in online OCOP (One Commune One Product) markets since August 2023, livestreaming product introductions and building a booth on e-commerce platforms.

According to the Director of the cooperative, Tran Thi Xa, doing business on digital platforms helps the cooperative proactively reach customers, control selling prices, and promote products more effectively. As a result, salted mud crabs are becoming increasingly well-known to consumers inside and outside the province, and the number of online orders is increasing, especially during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).

Mr. Khuu Van Chuong, Director of SK Noni Production - Trading Co., Ltd. (Tran Van Thoi commune), said: “Consumers today are very concerned about the origin and safety of products. When applying digital transformation, product information is made public, customers can easily access the products they need, and the company receives feedback from customers more quickly. This is an important factor in enhancing reputation and expanding the consumer market.”

Currently, SK Noni Production - Trading Co., Ltd. (Tran Van Thoi commune) has built a website, connected its sales fanpage and e-commerce platform, and applied QR codes for product traceability.

The application of digital transformation in the development of OCOP not only helps expand the consumer market but also contributes to innovating production and business thinking, improving management capacity, and gradually affirming the Ca Mau OCOP brand in the digital economy .
