On September 13, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province announced that it had just issued a decision to administratively fine two pig farm owners with a total fine of hundreds of millions of VND for discharging waste into the environment.
Specifically, Mr. D.VH (34 years old, residing in Nam Binh commune, Dak Song district, Dak Nong), owner of a pig farm in Nam Binh commune, discharged wastewater into the environment in violation of regulations and was fined 112.5 million VND.

In addition to the above case, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee also decided to fine Mr. VVH (41 years old, also residing in Nam Binh commune) VND 180 million. Mr. VVH is also the owner of a pig farm that illegally discharged wastewater into the environment.
Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee requested Mr. D.VH and Mr. VVH to immediately stop illegally discharging waste into the environment; at the same time, collect all generated wastewater to the reservoir for storage, renovation and treatment.
Previously, on September 1, the People's Committee of Dak Glong District (Dak Nong) also issued a decision to administratively fine Quang Son Livestock Company Limited, located in Quang Tien Village, Quang Son Commune, Dak Glong District. This is the unit managing the farm that made many people in Quang Son Commune upset because of the foul smell that Thanh Nien Newspaper reported on August 3. Quang Son Livestock Company Limited was administratively fined 110 million VND for violating regulations on discharging wastewater containing normal environmental parameters into the environment.
