9 tons of frozen food of unknown origin discovered in Nha Trang

According to authorities, 9 tons of food including meat, fish, seafood and processed foods had no labels, no production date or expiration date, and unknown origin.

On the afternoon of June 17, the Economic Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police informed that the unit had just inspected a food processing facility of Xuan Nguyen Company Limited, on Nguyen Khuyen Street, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City.

At the time of inspection, this company had 3 cold storages in operation, containing about 20 tons of frozen goods of various foods.

During the inspection of these cold storages, the inspection team discovered about 9 tons of food (including meat, fish, seafood and processed food) without labels, production date and expiration date, and unknown origin.

The inspection team has sealed all the above goods and is continuing to consolidate the records for handling according to the provisions of law.
