On the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2570 (Gregorian Calendar 2026), on the morning of May 26th, Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ca Mau Province, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association (VBA) of Ca Mau Province and the Executive Board of Phat To Pagoda (Sac Tu Quan Am Ancient Pagoda) in An Xuyen Ward.

The power of national unity

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai extended his best wishes to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ca Mau province, the venerable monks and nuns, and all Buddhist followers in the province for a peaceful, joyful, and happy Buddha's Birthday celebration. He acknowledged and praised the positive contributions of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ca Mau province, along with the monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers, to the socio -economic development of the locality in recent years, particularly in patriotic emulation movements and social welfare activities.

In the coming period, with the spirit of serving Buddhism, the nation, and socialism, the Executive Board needs to continue contributing even more to strengthening and promoting national unity; setting an example in living a "good life, beautiful faith" lifestyle; caring for and supporting people in difficult circumstances; and at the same time focusing on building a successor force to propagate Buddhism.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai presented meaningful gifts to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ca Mau province and the Executive Board of Phat To Pagoda.

Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai expressed his wish that the Executive Board would continue to promote the spirit of national unity and contribute to building the homeland.

To create the best conditions for religious activities, the Provincial Party Secretary noted that local authorities need to continue to closely cooperate and create favorable conditions for people to practice their beliefs in accordance with the law, ensuring the people's right to freedom of belief and religion. In addition, it is necessary to proactively ensure religious security and resolutely fight against the distorted narratives of hostile forces. He expressed confidence that the Provincial Buddhist Association and all monks, nuns, and Buddhists will achieve new successes and accompany the country in the era of national progress.
