Promoting the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", building a rich and beautiful homeland

Attending the Congress were Colonel Pham Van Long, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Permanent Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association, comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Commune People's Council, and representatives of local departments, branches and organizations.

During the past term, the Association of War Veterans of Duc Trong commune achieved many impressive results in all aspects of work, continuing to affirm its role as a core force in building and protecting the locality.

Members always set an example in promoting the qualities and traditions of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", maintaining political mettle, solidarity and attachment to the people.

The Association has proactively coordinated to fight and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation, maintaining political security and social order and safety. At the same time, it has actively participated in giving opinions on Party and government building through monitoring activities, social criticism and many practical and dedicated contributions.

Notably, the movement “War veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business ” has been widely implemented and achieved practical results. The Association has mobilized to build the Association Fund to reach more than 2 billion VND, exceeding the set target, thereby supporting 87 members to borrow preferential loans to develop production and business. Many economic models owned by members have brought in income from 300 million to 1 billion VND/year, creating jobs for dozens of local workers.

Thanks to that, the members' lives are increasingly improved, with 76.83% of households reaching the rich and well-off level, and only 0.36% of households near-poor.

The Executive Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Duc Trong commune, term 2025 - 2030, introduced itself to the Congress and took souvenir photos with the delegates.

At the same time, the Commune Veterans Association has proactively coordinated with departments, branches and organizations to effectively implement local movements and campaigns such as: Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; the movement "All people protect national security"...

The results achieved in the past term are a solid premise for the Association to continue promoting the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", making an important contribution to the socio-economic development, national defense and security of Duc Trong commune in the coming term.

The Congress announced the Decision to appoint an Executive Committee of 25 members, a Standing Committee of 7 members; and a Decision to appoint a delegation of 2 delegates to attend the Provincial Veterans Association Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Mai Van An was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Veterans Association of Duc Trong commune for the 2025-2030 term.
