The work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints, petitions and feedback from people is identified by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels of Quang Yen town as one of the key tasks, aiming to participate in building the Party and building a strong government.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Yen Town carries out the task of propagating and mobilizing people when the State reclaims land.
As a new growth pole in the West of the province, in recent years, the town has implemented a series of key projects, leading to the implementation of large-scale land acquisition. In 2024 alone, the town is responsible for land acquisition for 31 projects, with a total land acquisition area of over 4,334 hectares, affecting 8,136 organizations, households and individuals. Due to the large volume of land acquisition, it is inevitable that there will be complaints, petitions and feedback from citizens. According to statistics, 80% of the petitions in the town are related to land and land acquisition.
Clearly identifying the local characteristics, every year the Town Fatherland Front Committee promptly develops a plan and guides the Commune Fatherland Front Committee to coordinate with the government and socio -political organizations at the same level to promote propaganda and dissemination of legal education to cadres, party members and people. The propaganda content focuses on documents from higher levels related to citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens, etc.
The Town Fatherland Front Committee actively participates in propagating, mobilizing, and persuading people to comply with the State's legal policies, especially regulations related to land and site clearance, minimizing forced land acquisition for households.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Town Fatherland Front Committee has established 5 working groups to directly meet, propagate and mobilize households. After being propagated and mobilized, many households have a better understanding of the regimes and policies, agreed to receive compensation, and hand over the site for project construction.

The Fatherland Front at all levels of the town coordinated to organize 7 public meetings to publicize the planning for households affected by the projects; organized 75 dialogues, propaganda, mobilization, exchange, and persuasion for households affected by the projects to receive money and hand over the site to the construction unit. Thereby, compensation, support and resettlement were paid to 753 households and 133 hectares of land were handed over to investors to implement the project.
The Fatherland Front at all levels regularly organizes activities to monitor the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and petitions, and recommendations of leaders of Party committees and authorities at the commune level. Through the monitoring activities of the Fatherland Front, it has promptly discovered limitations and weaknesses in the process of organizing the implementation of policies and laws on receiving citizens, handling complaints and petitions at the local and grassroots levels, thereby proposing appropriate amendments and supplements.
The Fatherland Front at all levels is interested in creating conditions for people to participate in giving opinions, criticism, and supervision of government activities through the activities of people's inspection boards and community investment supervision boards. In the first 9 months of 2024, the Fatherland Front at communes and wards maintained the activities of 19 people's inspection boards with 133 members; 86 community investment supervision boards with 532 members. The community investment supervision boards organized 128 supervisions, thereby detecting 25 cases with errors, recommending the government to resolve 24 cases, reaching 94%.
The Town Fatherland Front Committee continues to pay attention to and effectively implement grassroots mediation work. The Town Fatherland Front Committee is maintaining the good operation of 179 mediation teams with 722 mediators. In the first 9 months of 2024, grassroots mediation teams received 18 cases, of which 16 cases (89%) were successfully mediated; the remaining cases are being focused on resolving. Thereby contributing to resolving conflicts among the people, preventing the emergence of hot spots, and ensuring security and order in the area.
