Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed Decision No. 562/QD-TTg approving the Project to restructure Vietnam Railways Corporation until the end of 2025.
Main business lines and related business lines According to the approved Project, Vietnam Railways Corporation ( VNR ) has business lines and related business lines as prescribed in the Government's Decree on the Charter of organization and operation of VNR and other business lines and related business lines as approved by competent authorities. VNR has main business lines and related business lines and related business lines. Main business lines and related business lines include: - Railway infrastructure business (management, use, exploitation of railway infrastructure assets); - Railway infrastructure management and maintenance (maintenance, repair, provision of services related to maintenance and repair of railway infrastructure); - Providing national railway transport operation services, international intermodal transport and specialized railways with rail connections to national railways; - Leasing of machinery, equipment and other tangible items without operators (leasing of locomotives, carriages, railway traction services; machinery and equipment for maintenance and construction of railway infrastructure); - Manufacture of engines and turbines (consulting on design, manufacturing, new construction, assembly, conversion, repair, restoration of spare parts and materials; import and export, purchase and sale, supply of specialized railway vehicles, equipment, spare parts and materials for railway transport, maintenance and construction of railway infrastructure and mechanical products); - Manufacture of locomotives, trams and carriages; recycling of scrap; - Construction of railway and road works; - Trading in railway, road and pipeline transport; domestic multimodal transport, international intermodal transport; Industries and occupations related to the main business industries and occupations include: - Architectural activities; Technical inspection and analysis (construction investment consultancy, construction of traffic, irrigation, industrial and civil works); - Specialized construction activities (installation and repair of lighting systems and signaling systems on railways). Plan to arrange and restructure the parent company and member units of VNR until the end of 2025 Parent company - VNR and its affiliated units and public service units under the parent company - VNR: - Maintain the parent company - VNR as a one-member limited liability company with 100% of charter capital held by the State. - Maintain the organizational model of the Railway Transport Control Center; railway exploitation branches, locomotive enterprise branches and public service units under the parent company - Vietnam Railway Corporation, as follows: + Railway Transport Control Center; + 12 Railway Exploitation Branches: Hanoi, Lao Cai, Ha Lao, Ha Lang, Ha Thai Hai, Ha Thanh, Nghe Tinh, Thua Thien - Hue, Nghia Binh, Phu Khanh, Saigon and Dong Dang Station Branch. + 03 Locomotive Enterprise Branches: Hanoi, Vinh, Saigon; + 03 Public Service Units: Railway College, Railway Medical Center, Railway Project Management Board Region 1. - Newly established Railway Research - Application and Development Center as a subsidiary of the Parent Company - VNR. Enterprises in which the Parent Company - VNR maintains a holding ratio of over 50% of charter capital: - Di An Railway Joint Stock Company; - Gia Lam Railway Joint Stock Company; - 15 Railway Joint Stock Companies: Yen Lao, Vinh Phu, Ha Lang, Ha Thai, Ha Hai, Ha Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe Tinh, Quang Binh, Binh Tri Thien, Quang Nam - Da Nang, Nghia Binh, Phu Khanh, Thuan Hai, Saigon. - 05 Railway Signal Information Joint Stock Companies: Bac Giang , Hanoi, Vinh, Da Nang, Saigon; - Dong Mo Da Joint Stock Company. Enterprises of the parent company - VNR divested all capital contributions: Regional Railway Service Joint Stock Company 1; Hai Van Nam Joint Stock Company; Construction Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company 1; Railway Telecommunications - Signal Joint Stock Company; Thong Nhat Investment and Business Joint Stock Company; Da Nang Construction Joint Stock Company; Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company; Construction Joint Stock Company 6; Construction Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company 3; Railway Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company; Railway Infrastructure and Urban Development Investment Joint Stock Company; Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company; Saigon Railway Printing Joint Stock Company. Other enterprises/units with capital contributions from VNR: - Maintain the capital contribution ratio of the parent company - VNR holds 50% or less of charter capital at: My Trang Stone Joint Stock Company, Railway Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company, Saigon Commercial Hotel and Sun Joint Stock Company - Vietnam Railways. - Regarding the arrangement of Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company and Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company: comply with the provisions of law and instructions in Official Dispatch No. 303/TTg-DMDN dated April 7, 2022 of the Prime Minister.
