Film by Korean actor duo Gang Dong-won and Lee Jong-suk hits Vietnamese theaters

“The Plot” – a Korean movie starring actors Gang Dong-won and Lee Jong-suk in a “killer duo”, will hit Vietnamese theaters from June 14.

“The Life-Eating Trap” is a psychological thriller. The film opens with a series of deadly incidents that cause a stir in Korean public opinion. However, the truth behind these random accidents is a sophisticated “life-eating trap” by a group of contract killers. The group is headed by Young Il (played by Gang Dong-won) with his associates being advisor Jackie (played by Lee Mi-sook), disguise expert (played by Lee Hyun-woo) and “intern” Jeom Man (played by Tang Jun-sang) - the youngest member of the team.

During a risky mission to eliminate a high-ranking politician , Young Il is faced with a series of strange and suspicious events. Realizing that he is the next target of the “life-devouring trap”, Young Il begins to fall into a situation where he cannot trust anyone. From there, the film opens up a thrilling and engaging elimination.

Actor Gang Dong-won has built up a large filmography over the course of 21 years of acting and has taken on many different genres, from psychological and romantic films to apocalyptic blockbusters. Returning to the big screen this time, Gang Dong-won plays a cold-blooded assassin, requiring complex psychological developments and facing many unknown dangerous forces. “This film has almost no action scenes, but it still feels like an action film,” said actor Gang Dong-won.

At the press conference for the film on May 23 in Korea, director Lee Yo-sup confirmed Lee Jong-suk's special appearance in the film. Although he only participated as a guest, his character played a key role in the overall story development as the best friend and former teammate of the male lead Yong Il, thereby opening up many unexpected details.

In addition, the film also features the "evil woman" Lee Mi-sook - who has just made a name for herself with her villainous role in the hit TV series "Queen of Tears". In "The Life-Swallowing Trap", Lee Mi-sook plays advisor Jackie, a mysterious and multi-personality assassin. Along with that, the film features the beauty Jung Eun-chae as the daughter of a high-ranking politician. Previously, this beautiful actress made her mark through her role as the female prime minister in the TV series "The King: Eternal Monarch".

Currently, “The Trap” has confirmed its release in 41 countries around the world . With the appearance of Gang Dong-won, the film is dominating the Korean box office when it topped the number of pre-booked tickets with 31.2% as of May 27 (based on the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council).
