DNO - On July 23, at Chin Chu hamlet (Dong Ho village, Dien Hoa commune, now Dong Ho village, Dien Ban Bac ward), the Traditional Liaison Committee of Da Nang Special Forces - Commandos held a ceremony to pay tribute and offer incense to heroic martyrs of the city's special forces - commandos and the people who had the merit of sheltering the city's special forces - commandos who sacrificed their lives in the cause of fighting against the US to save the country.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang led a delegation to pay tribute to and commemorate the heroes and martyrs.

The Monument to the Martyrs of the Da Nang Special Forces - Commandos is located in the grounds of the revolutionary historical site of the hamlet Chin Chu. Over the years, the activities of visiting incense and expressing gratitude to the heroes, martyrs of the special forces - commandos and the people who have contributed to hiding the officers and soldiers of the special forces - commandos who sacrificed their lives have been regularly organized by the Da Nang Special Forces - Commandos Tradition Liaison Committee in coordination with the locality.

The memorial stele was built from socialized resources. Over the years, it has been upgraded and renovated to become more spacious. It is expected that in the coming time, with the attention and direction of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, the support of Dien Ban Bac Ward and the support from socialized resources, the memorial stele campus and related works will continue to be embellished with landscape items, flower gardens, fences, gates, etc.

Speaking at the memorial ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang expressed his gratitude for the great contributions of the Da Nang city special forces and commandos; and expressed his pride in the glorious tradition of the Da Nang city special forces and commandos during the resistance war.

At the same time, we pay tribute to the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs of special forces and urban commandos and the people who sheltered the officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the cause of fighting against the US to save the country.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that the incense offering and memorial ceremony on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day is an extremely meaningful activity, and at the same time acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Traditional Liaison Committee of Da Nang Special Forces and Commandos.

“The next generations are always grateful, always remember, take these traditional activities as a fulcrum, continue the glorious heroic tradition of the nation, the glorious tradition of the homeland, the family tradition. Thereby, strive to perform their duties, contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland”, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang expressed.

During the resistance war against the US, leaders of the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee, key officials of District 1 and many agencies and units of Da Nang city often came to stay in Chin Chu hamlet, and were hidden and protected by the people here.

From here, many key cadres led and directed the movement in Da Nang city; proposed many policies and solutions, built the inner city base, and organized many victorious battles. Xom Chin Chu during the resistance war against the US had only 9 households but was the base of many agencies and units of Da Nang city, including the Da Nang City Special Forces and the District 1 Special Forces.
