

Attending the meeting were members of the Supervisory Delegation; representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong City, leaders of units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Construction ; representatives of the Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port Company (HHIT).




Reporting to the Supervisory Delegation, General Director of Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port Nguyen Van Tien said that Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port is the most modern deep-water seaport in Vietnam following the "green port - smart port" model, with the largest scale in the Northern region, with a strategic location in Lach Huyen area, Hai Phong, becoming a gateway directly connecting to international sea routes.

Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port is equipped with modern technologies in the port operation system such as STS cranes with a reach of up to 24 rows of containers, e-RTG crane system, NAVIS N4 port operation system, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, 5G network and 24/7 surveillance cameras, comprehensive automatic gate system integrating OCR and RFID technology to optimize productivity and ensure accuracy in the exploitation process. Thanks to the application of modern technologies and software, Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port optimizes port operation and management, improves productivity, minimizes ship waiting time, minimizes vehicle turnaround time in the port, and minimizes CO2 emissions.

Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port also complies with strict measures and procedures to protect the environment such as: using clean, green energy sources; collecting and treating waste, regularly monitoring and controlling noise, dust, air and water quality; monitoring energy consumption, automating and applying information technology to reduce waiting time and emissions.
At the meeting, members of the Supervisory Delegation discussed difficulties in implementing policies and laws on environmental protection.
HHIT leadership representatives answered and clarified issues of concern to the Supervisory Delegation.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan praised and highly appreciated Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port Company as the first private enterprise daring to invest in seaports following the smart seaport - green seaport model, pioneering in green transformation, digital transformation and inspiring other private enterprises, especially in the field of logistics.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that each pioneering enterprise is an important link in the national strategy for sustainable development of the marine economy; hoping that Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port will continue to promote the synchronous implementation of green solutions; promote the application of green technology, such as renewable energy, solar power for lighting and equipment operation; apply artificial intelligence (AI), and automate logistics processes.

Suggesting some orientations for businesses in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that HHIT continue to play a pioneering role in implementing the Politburo's key resolutions such as Resolution 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 on private economic development; Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation...

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 30-NQ/TW on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Red River Delta region until 2030, with a vision to 2045. The Resolution requires "Building the Hai Phong - Quang Ninh region into a modern, international, leading maritime economic center in Southeast Asia, a gateway and driving force of the region" and "Hai Phong City to become a modern international logistics center".

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that HHIT continue to maintain its pioneering role, discipline, innovative spirit and be a "bright spot" contributing to making Hai Phong a modern logistics center, and the Hai Phong - Quang Ninh region a modern, international maritime economic center and effectively connecting with localities in the Red River Delta.
