Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Chairman of the National Assembly Working Committee Nguyen Huu Dong said: During the 15th National Assembly term, the Committee has made continuous efforts to comprehensively innovate its working methods, improve professionalism, publicity, transparency, democracy and efficiency; and successfully completed the tasks according to the set programs and plans. In particular, personnel work has been deployed promptly, accurately, and strictly, ensuring compliance with the prescribed processes and procedures.

At the same time, complete legislative work with 1 law, 2 Resolutions of the National Assembly and submit to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration and approval of 21 Resolutions and 2 Instructions.

In addition, supervisory activities are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.

Notably, at the Sixth Session, the 15th National Assembly advised the National Assembly to take a vote of confidence for 44 people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly; and for the first time issued a Resolution guiding the People's Council's supervisory activities.

Training and fostering work has seen strong changes. For the first time, the National Assembly Standing Committee has issued a separate Resolution on fostering knowledge and skills for National Assembly deputies; innovating training work on digital platforms; performing well the role of the standing body of the National Election Council; advising the National Election Council to fully issue documents on election work and personnel work.

At the Conference, delegates contributed many insightful comments to the reports of the Delegation Affairs Committee; emphasizing that with its mettle, experience and persistent spirit of innovation, the Delegation Affairs Committee continues to play a pioneering role, ensuring integrity in the personnel process, cultivating sustainable values so that the National Assembly is always the intellectual center, the fulcrum of trust and the driving force for Vietnam's strong journey of development in the future.

Speaking at the Conference, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the dedication, responsibility, intelligence and important results that the Delegation Work Committee had achieved during the past term.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that the Committee for Delegation Affairs has affirmed its prestige and position as an important advisory body contributing to improving the quality of work of National Assembly deputies. At the same time, it actively advises and assists the Party and State leaders in work related to deputies and activities of the National Assembly.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that in the work of law-making, the Committee always demonstrates a strategic, comprehensive vision, for the national and ethnic interests, the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People; always sets an example of upholding the sense of responsibility in proactively approaching and preparing "early and from afar", making efforts to improve the quality and ensure work progress, especially in the work of organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term.

“This is the term with the most personnel work ever. More than 2,700 documents were issued during the term; more than 300 individuals and 25 collectives were awarded Certificates of Merit, Medals, and Medals; 2,670 individuals were awarded the "For the Cause of the National Assembly of Vietnam" Medal; 139 conferences, training courses, and seminars were held, with the participation of more than 10,000 delegates, officials, and civil servants; 15 books and specialized documents were compiled; 783 personnel were reviewed and introduced into the planning according to the Plan to innovate and expand the planning of full-time National Assembly deputies of the National Assembly Party Delegation, with the participation of 104/120 agencies at the central and local levels; 7 projects, topics, and scientific research topics were carried out,” said the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

In the process of performing its functions and tasks, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh affirmed that this is a term that clearly demonstrates remarkable maturity when the Committee is assigned many completely new tasks of high complexity and is carried out for the first time, from advising on strategic projects, issuing model regulations, resolutions on job positions and personnel authority to legislative examination, organizing a vote of confidence for 44 positions, advising on the arrangement of large-scale administrative units, tasks that previous terms have never had to undertake on such a scale.

According to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, this is the trust of the National Assembly leadership in assigning many difficult responsibilities and fundamentally changing the role and organizational structure of the Committee in the activities of the National Assembly, as well as the strong increase in scope, stature and work requirements. Most importantly, the Committee and the specialized Departments have promoted the highest spirit of solidarity, intelligence and responsibility, excellently completing all tasks, correctly, sufficiently, promptly, cautiously, safely and absolutely confidentially, thereby making an important contribution to the overall success of the 15th National Assembly.

Given the results achieved in the past term, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that in the next term, the Committee should take the lead in the digital transformation of the National Assembly, focusing on building a unified and synchronous National Assembly personnel database; digitizing personnel records, election records and delegate records; and moving towards data-based personnel management.

Along with that, perfecting the coordination mechanism in personnel work; proactively sharing and connecting information between agencies, ensuring smoothness, synchronization and timeliness in handling work. With the efforts in the upcoming term, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly believes and expects the Delegation Affairs Committee to continue to affirm itself as one of the units with many innovations, contributing to the general innovation of the National Assembly, creating a new mindset to enter the new term, making worthy contributions to the activities of the National Assembly, meeting the trust and expectations of the people.
