Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong visited and worked at Dak D'Rinh Hydropower Plant.

Also attending were: Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ngai Province Dang Ngoc Huy; National Assembly Delegate, Deputy Chief Justice of the People's Court of Quang Ngai Province Luong Van Hung; Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai Province Nguyen Tan Duc.

The delegation visited the factory area, where the generators are located. According to the factory leaders, the DakDrinh hydropower project has a capacity of 125MW, with an average output of many years according to the design E0 = 540.29 million kWh/year. The project is built in the areas of particularly difficult districts, Son Tay district (Quang Ngai) and Kon Plong district ( Kon Tum ) under the Power Plan VI and Power Plan VII.

The total investment of the project is 5,921 billion VND, starting from January 2021 and putting the first unit into operation in May 2014 and will operate the second unit in August 2014.

After visiting the generator area, the delegation went to the factory operations area.
Here, the delegation listened to the leaders of DakDrinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company (investor) report on the production and business situation as well as some difficulties and obstacles in business activities. Accordingly, after 10 years of operation, the plant has supplied 5.68 billion kWh to the national grid, contributing more than 1,268 billion VND to the state budget.

However, the reservoir area of the hydropower plant still has more than 9.5 hectares of unfinished compensation due to disputes over land use rights between households. Currently, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has not yet approved the land use plan for the entire reservoir area (in Quang Ngai province); the 110KV transmission line of DakDrinh hydropower plant has completed compensation, supported site clearance and has a decision to reclaim land but is not yet included in the land use planning list of Son Tay district. Therefore, the company does not have enough basis to complete the documents and procedures to request a change of land use purpose and land lease for the above items.

Leaders of DakDrinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company proposed that local authorities at all levels support in resolving remaining problems related to compensation, support, and resettlement of the project.

At the meeting, leaders of Quang Ngai departments and branches clearly answered the problems and proposed directions for coordination with the company to resolve them in the coming time.

After listening to the report, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong requested the factory's leaders to closely coordinate with local authorities to promptly remove obstacles; strive to complete legal procedures on land as soon as possible; regulate water resources to promptly support downstream areas against drought when requested by local authorities; actively participate in supporting local social security activities...

On the occasion of visiting and working at the factory, on behalf of the Delegation, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly presented 10 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to 10 workers in difficult circumstances of DakDrinh Hydropower Plant.
