Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son visited and wished a Happy New Year to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Bac Giang province

On the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, on the afternoon of January 17, Comrade Mai Son - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Bac Giang province and visited and extended New Year greetings to Most Venerable Thich Thien Van - Head of the Executive Committee of the VBS in Bac Giang province at Dai Giap Pagoda, Dai Lam Commune (Lang Giang District). Also attending were Most Venerable Thich Giac Dung - Secretary of the VBS Council of Evidence; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and the Department of Home Affairs.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son briefly informed about the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of the province in 2024.

Here, Most Venerable Thich Thien Van - Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Bac Giang province expressed his gratitude to the provincial leaders for their recent attention and creation of favorable conditions for the province's Buddhist activities to continue to develop; many Buddhist activities were successfully organized. A large number of monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province always receive attention, companionship, sharing, and the most favorable conditions.

Most Venerable Thich Thien Van said that over the years, the provincial Buddhist Sangha has always paid attention to improving the qualifications of monks and nuns; many valuable Buddhist works have been preserved and promoted. At the same time, he expressed his joy at the outstanding socio-economic development results of the province in recent times. Most Venerable Thich Thien Van wished Bac Giang province to achieve more achievements and continue to develop; wished the provincial leaders and people a new year of peace and prosperity. At the same time, he hoped to continue to receive the attention of departments, branches and organizations in the province; and affirmed that the provincial Buddhist Sangha will continue to accompany the Party Committee and government to build the province to develop more and more.

Speaking here, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son informed Most Venerable Thich Thien Van about the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of the province in 2024 and emphasized that these results are the joint efforts of the entire Party Committee, government and people, including the contribution of the Buddhist community of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Bac Giang province in general and the important role of Most Venerable Thich Thien Van in particular.

He hoped that Most Venerable Thich Thien Van, religious dignitaries and Buddhist followers would continue to accompany Party committees and authorities at all levels to care for people's spiritual lives, contribute to stabilizing the political and social situation, and successfully carry out socio-economic development tasks.
