According to reports, 303 houses in Ham Thuan commune were flooded. Heavy rain and strong currents caused the collapse of the C2 bridge culvert across the Nha Dam – Sa Ky road (in Phu Thai village), and also damaged and eroded a section of the concrete road on the Ku Ke – Phu Son route – a vital transportation artery leading to Phu Son village.
In the entire commune, 290 hectares of rice fields over 45 days old and 270 hectares of corn and other crops were flooded; more than 830 livestock and poultry died or were swept away.

As of the morning of October 31st, many roads in Ham Thuan commune were still flooded.
The initial estimated total damage is approximately 1.2 billion VND. Immediately after the flooding occurred, the Ham Thuan Commune People's Committee implemented emergency remedial measures: erecting warning signs and barricades in dangerous areas; and simultaneously reviewing and compiling damage statistics to provide timely support to residents, helping to stabilize their lives and production as quickly as possible.
