Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha arrived at the scene to direct the rescue of victims of the capsized boat in Ha Long Bay.

According to the Navy, on the evening of July 19, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha went to the scene of the capsized passenger ship in Ha Long Bay to direct the acceleration of search and rescue work.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation boarded ship 285, Squadron 113, Brigade 170, Naval Region 1 to go to the scene of the passenger ship capsized due to strong winds in Ha Long Bay that afternoon.

The Deputy Prime Minister directed rescue forces at the scene to continue to speed up the search and rescue of victims.

As of 8:45 p.m. on July 19, authorities had found 27 bodies, including 8 children; and rescued 11 people (initial information was 12 people). Rescue work is still taking place urgently.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 19, the QN 7105 ship, while traveling on route 2, on Ha Long Bay ( Quang Ninh province), capsized due to a sudden storm. There were 48 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
