Coordinate the review and standardization of personal tax code data according to Project 06

Phu Yen Tax Department has just issued an official dispatch requesting the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to coordinate with tax authorities to implement a number of contents to speed up the review and standardization of personal tax codes (MST).

Specifically, the Tax Department requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct relevant agencies, sectors and organizations, especially the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to coordinate in reviewing and standardizing personal tax codes of priority groups: Group of active individual taxpayers with income from wages and salaries; group of taxpayers using non- agricultural land; group of taxpayers of business households with debt/overpayment obligations at the time of review or taxpayers of business households with information on CCCD/ID card; other groups of taxpayers.

Adjusting and updating tax registration information of business households to ensure the accuracy and data synchronization of information displayed on the Business Household Digital Map function is being deployed nationwide in general and in the province in particular.

The Tax Department also requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct local media agencies, radio systems and electronic information pages to propagate the necessity of changing tax registration information of taxpayers and dependents with tax authorities, contributing to the completion of the tasks of Project 06 of the Government .

At the same time, it is recommended that the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities direct agencies, public service units and enterprises in the area that pay income to proactively review and change tax registration information of civil servants, public employees, employees, dependents... with the tax authorities to speed up the number of tax codes reviewed to match the Ministry of Public Security.

According to Phu Yen Tax Department, the review and standardization of personal tax codes has contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the Government's Project 06. However, the actual implementation results in the past have been very low, as of February 26, 2024, the number of tax codes that still need to be reviewed in the province is 74,867. Therefore, to speed up the review of personal tax codes, tax authorities need the attention and direction of leaders at all levels as well as relevant units to coordinate with tax authorities in the implementation process.
