In addition, the kitchen also supports hospital transfer costs for children in need of emergency care; pregnant mothers of ethnic minorities, poor people with difficult childbirths, and those who are sick are given timely help; gifts are given to children on International Children's Day, June 1, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Lunar New Year. In particular, over the past 4 years, the kitchen has also implemented the long-term "Support to School" program for 31 orphaned, poor, and studious students until they grow up. The total value of scholarships up to this point is 1.33 billion VND.

Ms. Vo Thi Bay, Head of the Charity Kitchen of Phu Yen Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, said that the kitchen has more than 30 members, divided into 2 groups working alternately every day, cooking and distributing free meals to patients. Over the past 10 years, the kitchen has made constant efforts to maintain and develop, becoming an important spiritual and material support for patients when they come to the hospital for treatment and childbirth.

“The women working at the kitchen would like to sincerely thank the hospital leadership for creating favorable conditions for the kitchen to operate; thank the great contributions of benefactors and the support from the community that has helped the kitchen spread the spirit of humanity, love, care and sharing….

Those are valuable spiritual medicines that help patients have more faith and determination to fight the disease, quickly recover, and return to normal life," Ms. Bay confided.
