Accordingly, at about 1:50 a.m., fishing boat KH-07776-TS with 2 fishermen including Mr. Tran Ngoc Nhat (born in 1989) and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phung (born in 1976), both residing in Bac Nha Trang ward, was anchored at the mouth of Cai river (Nha Trang) when the flood water rose high and the strong current broke the anchor and they sank on the spot. The 2 fishermen were swept away into the bay. Upon receiving the news, the Provincial Border Guard mobilized the crew of ship BP 33.19.01 with 9 officers and soldiers of Squadron 1, and at the same time directed the Nha Trang Port Border Guard Station to coordinate in requisitioning vehicles of Vinpearl Nha Trang Joint Stock Company to quickly organize the search. At 9:00 a.m., the rescue team approached the 2 victims, provided medical care and brought them safely to shore.

At 9:00 a.m. the same day, at Tran Phu Bridge area, Bac Nha Trang ward, Cau Bong Border Guard Station discovered 3 fishing boats with broken anchors and 1 fisherman swept out to the bay. The Provincial Border Guard continued to dispatch ship 09 BP 33.19.01 to Hon Do sea area. At 10:30 a.m., the rescue force approached and brought the fisherman in distress safely to shore. The victim was Mr. Bui Van My (born 1970, residing in Bac Nha Trang ward).
All 3 victims were handed over to their families and are in stable health.
