Coordinate communication on the World Cultural Heritage Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac

BAC NINH - On the afternoon of September 5, in Quang Ninh province, Quang Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television organized a conference on media coordination between press agencies of 3 provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Bac Ninh. The conference took place when the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. This is a particularly significant event, affirming the outstanding global value of the Heritage Complex associated with the Truc Lam Buddhist center, while opening up many opportunities for localities to promote their potential for cultural and spiritual tourism, contributing to sustainable socio -economic development.

The Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex spans the territory of three provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong. The convergence of monuments in many localities creates a unified whole, affirming the sustainable vitality of Vietnamese culture and spirituality over many centuries. These are places associated with the formation and development of the Truc Lam Zen sect - a Buddhist sect with strong Vietnamese identity founded by Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong in the 13th century.

The system of pagodas, towers, hermitages, shrines and rare antiques and documents still preserved clearly reflects the prosperity of Buddhism and marks many important historical events. The majestic natural space combined with ancient architecture has created a special cultural and spiritual landscape, demonstrating the harmonious exchange between humans and the natural environment. These outstanding global values ​​have been recognized by UNESCO, making the complex a part of the world's cultural heritage treasure.

At the conference, leaders of the press agencies of the three provinces and cities of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Bac Ninh emphasized the important role of coordinated propaganda work to widely spread the value of heritage to a wide range of readers, audiences, and listeners at home and abroad. The leaders of the three press agencies agreed to increase information exchange, data sharing, and coordination in writing articles and reports; and to jointly build specialized pages, columns, reports, and documentaries that fully and vividly reflect the heritage complex and activities to preserve and promote heritage values ​​in contemporary life. At the same time, they will organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities to contribute to spreading heritage values.

In particular, in 2025, the press agencies of the three provinces and cities will coordinate to organize the photo contest "Moments of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Heritage". The entries will be of all photography genres: Landscape, portrait, daily life. The content reflects the landscape, architecture, antiques, precious artifacts at Yen Tu, Vinh Nghiem, Con Son, Kiep Bac; records rituals, festivals, folk culture, religious living spaces; demonstrates conservation activities associated with tourism development, local economy, new initiatives in heritage management and exploitation; reflects the scenes of life, labor, production associated with heritage space, demonstrating the connection between heritage and community.

At the same time, the Ultra Trail Yen Tu 2025 race "Discovering Heritage - Spreading the Essence" was organized by press agencies, businesses and localities of Quang Ninh province on September 6 at Yen Tu Special National Relic Site to promote and help athletes and tourists explore the natural scenery and cultural and historical depth of the sacred land of Yen Tu, and enjoy the beauty of the world heritage.
