Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh said that with the spirit of solidarity, high determination, responsibility, enthusiasm and innovation of the Union's staff at all levels, the activities set out in the first 6 months of 2025 have been basically completed.
Notably, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Hanoi Women's Union at all levels launched and implemented the emulation movement extensively and effectively. Notably, 100% of districts, towns and cities registered large-scale projects, tasks and activities in response to the movement. To date, the Union at all levels has completed 322/815 projects and tasks; presented 29,021 gifts, with a total value of more than 14.5 billion VND.
In addition, as of May 31, 2025, Hanoi Women's Union at all levels are managing capital sources of more than VND 10,433 billion for 155,644 female members to borrow for economic development (an increase of more than VND 581.2 billion compared to the end of 2024).
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Hanoi Women's Union will continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the conclusions and directions of the Central Government and the city on the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system and the two-level local government model; prepare conditions to well organize the Commune-level Women's Congress and the 17th Hanoi Women's Congress.
Besides, continue to promote the role of the Association, focus on innovating the Association's appropriate operation methods...
Regarding the implementation of the Project "Propaganda, education, mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving a number of social issues related to women", the Women's Union at all levels has organized many practical, creative, and innovative activities, contributing to positive changes in awareness and behavior of members, women, and the community. In the past 3 years, 526/526 communes, wards, and towns have helped 9,582 disadvantaged member households achieve 8 criteria of "Family of 5 no, 3 clean"; 1,928 member households were helped to achieve 8 criteria of "Family of 5 yes, 3 clean"; 328 new models of "Propaganda, mobilization for women to implement food safety" were established, with 9,610 cadres, members, and women who are owners of food production and business establishments participating...
At the conference, the City Women's Union launched the "Digital Education for All" movement; implemented the guidance of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union on arranging the organization and operation of Women's Unions at all levels according to the 2-level local government model.
Within the framework of the conference, authorized by the President and Prime Minister, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Kim Anh and Deputy Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Thi Hue awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to former Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union Le Thi Thien Huong and Deputy Head of the Department for Supporting Women in Economic Development (Hanoi Women's Union) Pham Phuong Ly; and awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union Pham Thi Thanh Huong, for her outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building Vietnamese socialism and defending the Fatherland.
On this occasion, the City Women's Union commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 938, the program of accompanying women in border areas, and the work of receiving loans from the Social Policy Bank in the first 6 months of 2025.
The emulation movement "Digital literacy" was launched by the City Women's Union in conjunction with the "Digital Citizen" movement in all levels of the Women's Union; striving for 100% of union officials to propagate and build models of "Digital Women" and "Digital Families" in the locality; 100% of specialized officials to proficiently use at least 3 digital tools for work; 100% of work records, information regimes, and reports of the Union at all levels are processed in the network environment...
