The project covers an area of 9.2 hectares, with a total investment of 200 million USD (more than 4,600 billion VND). This is the fifth electronic printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly factory of Meiko Group in Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Mr. Atsushi Satake, Executive Vice President of Meiko Group, believed that when the factory comes into operation, it will contribute positively to the economic growth of Phu Tho province. He hopes to continue receiving support and facilitation from the local government to soon inaugurate phase 2 of the factory, with a total capital of 350 million USD.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long emphasized that this is a typical industrial project, demonstrating effective cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the fields of high technology, electronics manufacturing and sustainable development.
The Meiko Hoa Binh factory project will create an important economic driving force, create a highly skilled workforce, transfer technology and develop an auxiliary industrial ecosystem in the region. It is believed that the Meiko Hoa Binh factory will operate effectively, stably and develop in the long term, contributing to the socio-economic development of the region, as well as Phu Tho province in the coming time.
