Phu Tho celebrates 80th anniversary of People's Public Security Traditional Day

Phu Tho Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong presented flowers to congratulate Phu Tho Provincial Police on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the People's Police Traditional Day.

At the ceremony, comrade Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province affirmed that since its establishment, the Phu Tho Provincial Police force has continuously grown and developed in all aspects; always affirmed its steadfast and firm political stance, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; intelligence and courage in work and combat, excellently completing all assigned tasks.

During the August Revolution of 1945, under the leadership of the provincial Party Committee, the armed forces and the people seized power; persistently "sticking to the people", "sticking to the land", building bases, mobilizing the masses to destroy the enemy, eliminate traitors, expand guerrilla zones; grasping the situation, detecting enemy plots, protecting the safety of headquarters, warehouses, campaigns, and transportation routes.

After the peace in 1954, Phu Tho Police quickly consolidated its forces, participated in rent reduction, land reform, suppressed reactionaries, maintained public order, and fought against spies and American-puppet commandos. Hundreds of officers and soldiers supported the South, Laos, and Cambodia; many comrades sacrificed heroically, contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

Entering the period of innovation, especially in recent years, Phu Tho Provincial Police have proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on many solutions to ensure political security, social order and safety and effectively deploy the movement of the whole people to protect national security.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Medal to the Investigation Security Department, Phu Tho Provincial Police.

Phu Tho Provincial Police proactively and promptly advise, prevent and effectively fight against hostile forces and all types of crimes. With the achievements during 80 years of fighting, building and growing, Phu Tho Police force has been commended and awarded many noble prizes by the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged, commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements and feats of arms of the Phu Tho Provincial Police force.

In particular, the outstanding results in ensuring political security, social order and safety, building a mass movement to protect national security, contributing to maintaining political stability, creating a safe and healthy environment to serve the socio-economic development of the province.

The comrades emphasized that, in the face of new requirements and tasks with many complicated factors of the world, regional and domestic situation, especially in the context of the entire political system being arranged and organized according to the 2-level local government model, the Phu Tho Provincial Police force needs to continue to promote the tradition of a heroic unit, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the Party, and closely attached to the people.

Uphold the principle of the Party's absolute, comprehensive, and direct leadership in all aspects of the Public Security force; thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Party's Directives and Resolutions and the State's policies and laws on protecting national security, social order and safety, and crime prevention; constantly improve political mettle, fighting spirit, and sense of responsibility in serving the people.

Proactively grasp the situation, improve forecast quality, promptly advise on solutions to protect political security, prevent early and from afar, resolutely avoid hot spots, coordinate with the army to protect political security, targets, and activities to celebrate major national holidays and the first Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress.

At the ceremony, 10 collectives and individuals were awarded the First, Second and Third Class Military Exploit Medals by the State.
