On July 29, 2025, during the process of checking the area, Ha Lam Ward Police discovered that Nguyen Van Thuan (born in 1988, residing at group 62, Cao Thang 7 area, Ha Lam Ward) was illegally using crystal meth.

After investigation and verification, on August 1, Ha Lam Ward Police in coordination with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Provincial Police) issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Van Thuan for illegal use of drugs.

This is the first case in the whole province to be criminally prosecuted for illegal drug use; marking a new, drastic step forward in the fight against this type of crime.

Leaders of Ha Lam Ward People's Committee unexpectedly rewarded collectives and individuals with achievements in criminal handling of drug users.

Speaking at the award ceremony, comrade Bui Thi Huyen Trang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, emphasized: "This is not only a professional achievement but also a vivid demonstration of the people's sense of responsibility, intelligence and dedication to peace.
