(Dan Tri) - This will be the second upgrade of the gasoline-powered Cayenne Coupe, and Porsche will launch the first pure electric Cayenne.
The all-electric Cayenne is highly anticipated, but some images show that Porsche is still upgrading the internal combustion engine version of this SUV.

Porsche has made some minor design changes in 2023 for the Cayenne Coupe, which carry over from the 2024 model year, along with some important non-visual upgrades, like the return of the V8 engine to the Cayenne S.
But now Porsche is preparing to give the car a few visual updates that serve a couple of purposes. First, the new look will help keep the brand’s best-seller relevant, even though the basic design is still from 2017.
Second, the changes will help the Cayenne have a visual connection with two other important Porsche models: the new-generation 992 911 and the pure electric Cayenne using Volkswagen's PPE chassis platform.

Not counting the fog lights located separately below the marker lights on both sides of the front of the car, which may just be for camouflage purposes, the point of interest is the vertical bars below the front light clusters, which appear to be moving wings similar to those on the new 992 GTS T-hybrid model.
The test track images only show the facelifted Cayenne Coupe, but it's safe to assume these design changes will apply to all internal combustion engine Cayennes.
And while the images don't show any changes to the rear end, that could be because the car is still a year away from launch, so changes could still be in the works.

Porsche is expected to launch an upgraded version of the internal combustion engine Cayenne in early 2026, which will be the 2027 model year, and at that time, consumers will have another pure electric Cayenne option.
