Previously, in mid-April, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued a document directing the Management Board of the National Tourist Area (NTA) of Tuyen Lam Lake to urgently request organizations and individuals to immediately cease operations before April 25, 2024, but up to this point, 14 days have passed, and organizations and individuals have not yet complied.

According to records, from April 25 until now, services such as Pedalo (pedal boat), tourist boat carrying visitors on Tuyen Lam Lake are still operating normally. At the Tuyen Lam Lake boat dock area, according to reports, there have been 2 organizations and individuals operating business services under water surface lease contracts from Lam Dong Irrigation Investment Management Center, namely: Tuyen Lam Lake Yacht Cooperative (yacht service) and Mr. Nguyen Dang Ha (Pedalo service). The amount of money collected from the water surface lease contract is paid into the budget by Lam Dong Irrigation Investment Management Center and managed and used according to regulations.

Before handing over the management of Tuyen Lam Lake's water surface, Lam Dong Irrigation Exploitation Investment Management Center has liquidated the water surface lease contracts with the above organizations and individuals.

And to avoid loss of state budget revenue, save and reduce state budget expenditures for public service units, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourism Area Management Board has proposed the Provincial People's Committee to consider and approve the unit to temporarily collect water surface rental fees from organizations and individuals operating services that have existed since 2005 (before the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets was issued in 2017). At the same time, with the aim of stabilizing the lives and solving employment for local workers. All collected money will be paid into the budget for management and use in accordance with regulations.

However, the Provincial People's Committee believes that the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourism Area Management Board's request to collect fees from organizations and individuals providing services on the surface of Tuyen Lam Lake while the Project to exploit irrigation infrastructure assets in the Tuyen Lam Lake area has not been approved by competent authorities to organize an auction of the right to lease water surface for service activities at Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourism Area is inappropriate. Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourism Area Management Board to urgently work with organizations and individuals to immediately stop service activities on the surface of Tuyen Lam Lake before April 25.
